APC Gubernatorial Candidate and Antics of Mob Politics
By Sanusi Muhammad
As the campaign for the 2027 general election gathers momentum and the sprouting of associated mob action destroying and hardly creating positivity, the journey may be rough. Be it as wild savages or unthinking herds have been preoccupied to tear down the system.
Take the Bauchi State ongoing mob action by an inconsequential hired attack dogs masquerading as a support group to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu named National Patriotic Front for Tinubu (NPFFT).
At first glance by name, the group may look responsible political players, but further reasoning brings it out as a group of frustrated charlatans seeking desperate recognition for pecuniary interest.
For instance; by its impulsiveness, lack of forethought and restraint, want of personal and societal ethics, the group expedites the destruction of everything and anything------like an unpopular policy or worn-out civilization. Whether concrete or abstract, hard-wearing or fragile, whichever object or subject becomes the fascination of the mob is sooner annihilated.
The group though deserves no respect for response on their suicide mission of calling for the replacement of Muhammed Abdullahi Abubakar SAN, as Bauchi State 2027 gubernatorial candidate, they failed to provide or recommend a substitute should their plea be honored because of the absence of any better candidate that can deliver Bauchi State to the APC with ease than the M.A Abubakar they were recruited to destroy, thereby denying the people of Bauchi State dividends of the incoming M.A good governance.
The group although sponsored for the destructive mission against APC, forgot the simple fact that it was the same M.A Abubakar that brought victory to APC in 2015 and established all the necessary political structures now enjoyed in the state. As of the time he was laboring to establish the structures, where were those charlatans and their paymasters?
And the same M.A Abubakar is today mischievously challenged by spent horses and bread liners to pave way for the victory of their sponsors in opposition.
The antics of the devastation persist as a ceaseless cycle and it is amply sustained and accelerated via brutish inclinations that characterize the charlatans. Like primeval savages, the National Patriotic Front charlatans, live, think and act like creatures of the wild thus its unwritten code of existence: “Every man for himself in our communal jungle that only the strongest survives rigors of the struggle with his deployed strength, while the weaker ones become preys.”
But who are those “National Patriotic Front for Tinubu?” This question expectedly excites spurious theories, doubts, allegations and conclusions about the breed aptly classified and identified with the mob mentality. While many would readily finger the political class and its horde of loyalists, many more would categorize the impoverished breadlines as the core of the mob. In flurry of generalizations, a certifiable crowd is omitted essentially because it constitutes the cult of self-appointed critics, intellectuals, moralists and the socially aware. This crowd comprises the pedestrian and infinitely tiresome breed of people who never see anything good about APC Bauchi State gubernatorial candidate, M.A Abubakar, their pastime involves logging on to every social media portal with considerable traffic to continually vent and portray him as an imposed candidate for a failed enterprise.
Face book, WhatsApp and Twitter (X) offer wonderful platforms for those interesting breed to say all manner of unprintable jargons about the candidate and his associates. Another category of this breed comprises my professional colleagues (journalists), social media commentators, bloggers and even columnists in conventional newspapers. The access to means and channels of expression is oftentimes abused by those that have the access.
It is right to criticize but the bulk of what many of those critics do is classifiable as destructive sentimentality and hate-mongering. Oftentimes, they engage in sanctimonious whining, blame-casting and character assassination for reasons that border on infantile and shame logic.
The utter lack of gumption and foresight incessantly perpetuated by this breed continually offer court jesters and social media attack-mongrels of the political class innumerable opportunities to lash-out, deploying sophistry, and hominem and juvenile heckling in responding to defence.
Such characters can treat the candidate’s critic and journalists with contempt given the irresponsibility and mercenariness that characterizes the latter’s criticisms of their principal. Having spent quality time as vocal parts of such crowd, media aides and attack dogs of the target respond to criticisms from a standpoint of knowledge and lowering impatience including yours sincerely.
A serving aide to anyone for instance, continually treats his principal’s critics with disdain goaded by the notion that they lack moral justification to perform such critical roles in the interest of the collective but sees his principal’s baseless attack on the candidate as justifiable.
True, many a M.A Abubakar critic on face book, WhatsApp and Twitter or newspaper pages is as despicable as the other opponents to his chosen candidate that he condemns.
Racism, gluttony, political harlotry, all manners of bigotry and base sentimentality characterize opposition crowd of social media critics. In several instances, members of this breed cheerily present themselves as muscles to the candidate they love to condemn for a fee.
This breed of political mob, in its incessant criticisms of M.A Abubakar, conveniently forgets that M.A Abubakar is a direct reflection of the society we emerged from. If we are yet to produce according to their thinking, honest and conscientious candidate as they mischievously reason, then, it’s because the society itself is constituted by the perverse and corrupt. If public servants, security agents and religious leaders we parade are more nimble at stealing than performing constructive development roles, it is because the society institutionalizes and celebrates vice. And if the worst of us continually emerge as the best to be leaders, we could have ever have, it is because we are innately wired to value and elevate vile above virtue which M.A Abubakar is ever determined to fight for correction.
Sadly, rather than joining M.A Abubakar to engage in active crusade against the perpetuation of such anomalies destroying the society, the critical mob scrurry on to the soapboxes mounted in godfathers living rooms, court yards, pubs and social media platforms to curse luck, competence and the times.
We are that pathetic part of the state’s mob; negligible integers a cynical reader recently identified as “armchair Trotskys.” Unlike the more servile herd whose allegiance to opposition is at once wild and destructive, the breed those laggards comprise is even more vicious and symptomatic of the failure of scholarship, illiteracy and other contemporary advancements in civilization we ought to epitomize.
At least, the servile herd called National Patriotic Front is actively involved----be it negatively or positively-----according to the depth and strength of its awareness; this teeming mass of illiterates, semi-literate, unemployed and impoverished breadlines to mention a few, display ignorance and poverty of ideas as known reasons for its blind acquiescence to the tyranny of APC internal opponents, however, career critics and armchair Trotskys like me and you, given out touted learning and exposure can hardly make such spurious claims of destruction.
Today, M.A Abubakar is shackled by vulgar sentiments of rebellion and class struggle from outdated and inconsequential domestic so called politicians. More worrisome is our continued enslavement by the unruly and disorganized internal opposition by obscene inducements and gifts of grandeur. Consequently, we capitulate to a system by which we are psychologically broken and confined to dubious segregation and manipulative politics against our respected leader, M.A Abubakar.
The bottom line is clear for all. For APC to regain its seat of power in Bauchi State which was snatched in 2019, it is only M.A Abubakar, or no any other one that stand the heat, accept the bullets and walk to victory. This is a clear fact not farfetched. Internal incapacitated opponents are still unremorseful despite the glaring odds. They are bent on de-marketing the President Tinubu, M.A Abubakar and all other APC candidates to settle a mirage called grievance over the outcome of the party’s primary election.
Finally, as part of their strategy of deceit, majority have moved to the camp of Allied People’s Movement (APM) at an agreed fee for dirty jobs against APC in Bauchi State but still hypocritically claiming to be APC as moles. That should be to the knowledge of the APC apparatchik at all levels.
National Patriotic Front For Tinubu is not only fake in existence, it is a group on a destructive mission of APC hired by internal mercenaries.
