According to the former Deputy Speaker, the APC has, under Yilwatda's leadership over the past year, consolidated its position as Africa's largest political party by strengthening its internal structures, expanding its national influence, and increasing the number of governors elected on the party's platform to 31 out of Nigeria's 36 states.
Wase attributed these achievements to the National Chairman's political maturity, administrative competence, and unwavering commitment to the unity, growth, and progress of the APC.
"As a fellow proud son of Plateau State, I am delighted to celebrate Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda on this remarkable milestone. His leadership has brought renewed vigour to our great party and has continued to inspire confidence among party members and Nigerians alike. His achievements within just one year have demonstrated that purposeful leadership, humility, and competence remain the hallmarks of lasting success," Wase stated.
He further commended Professor Yilwatda for promoting internal democracy, strengthening reconciliation among party members, and providing strategic leadership that has positioned the APC as a more united, stable, and formidable political platform ahead of future electoral contests.
The former Deputy Speaker also praised the APC National Chairman for maintaining a cordial working relationship with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in advancing the administration's Renewed Hope Agenda while ensuring that the party remains disciplined, responsive, and focused on service to Nigerians.
Wase noted that Yilwatda's accomplishments have brought pride not only to Plateau State but also to the Ngas nation, describing his leadership as an inspiration to young Nigerians who aspire to serve the country with integrity, competence, and patriotism.
"As your brother and an illustrious son of Plateau State, I celebrate your outstanding accomplishments and your unwavering dedication to the growth of our great party and the unity of our nation. Your leadership continues to inspire a new generation of Nigerians to believe in service, competence, and patriotism," he added.
He prayed that God would continue to grant the APC National Chairman wisdom, strength, good health, and divine guidance as he leads the party to greater heights and contributes to the continued development of Nigeria's democracy.
The statement concluded with Wase congratulating Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda on his successful first year in office and expressing confidence that his tenure would continue to record greater milestones in the service of the APC and the nation.
