Yobe State has been thrown into mourning following the deaths of twin sisters, Dr. Hadiya Usman (Hassana) and Dr. Aidah Usman (Usaina), who reportedly died just two days apart.
The sisters, who were twins, both pursued careers in the health sector, with one serving as a Medical Doctor (MD) and the other as a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).

Dr. Hadiya Usman reportedly died on Friday, while her twin sister, Dr. Aidah Usman, passed away on Sunday.

The deceased were twin daughters of Dr. Hadiza Usman, a former Chief Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Nguru, Yobe State.

The deaths of the sisters within a space of just two days have triggered an outpouring of grief among family members, friends, colleagues and members of the wider community.

The tragic development has also left many reflecting on the unpredictability of life and the belief that all human beings ultimately return to their Creator.

The family has received condolences as mourners continue to pray for the repose of the souls of the two sisters.

Muslims have been urged to remember the deceased in their prayers and to pray for strength and fortitude for their parents, relatives, friends and colleagues during this difficult period.

May Allah SWT forgive Dr. Hadiya Usman and Dr. Aidah Usman, grant them eternal mercy and admit them into Al-Jannatul Firdaus. May He grant their family the strength, patience and faith to bear the loss.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.
